Dear Manta Friends! We are overwhelmed by the amount of interest you have shown in the Trusted Setup -- it is truly inspiring to see that so many people care about privacy 💜and are willing to wait in a queue for days to ensure the security of our network. 💪We're lucky to have this amazing community.
We realize that even after waiting in the queue for days, some participants have been unable to contribute. That's frustrating and we're sorry. The cause of this is usually network problems, such as poor connection speed. Sometimes it's also issues with the client not working perfectly on every OS. There is also some malicious activity -- we have detected attempts to DDoS the server.
Our team is working to address all of those issues, but for now we are TEMPORARILY pausing new registrations. We just want to let this crazy queue calm down a little bit. Registration will resume once we feel we have improved the user experience.
Rest assured, you will have a chance to contribute.We take your right to privacy very seriously, and we will extend the ceremony to make sure we can process all contributions. More details will follow soon, but for now we ask that you be patient with us and please be kind to the admins -- they are doing a great job and we are lucky to have them.
If you're in the queue then great, the best thing you can do is make sure your client is live when it's your turn. It's okay if you close the client and come back later, but please make sure the client is open when it's your turn. If not then you will have to queue again.
If you're not in the queue then wait -- there's really no hurry. You will get to contribute eventually 🙂
