π£What's up Wednesday Bites - May 25
1. π¬V2 is out!
We are very excited about the release of Dolphin v2. If you haven't tried it yet, we invite you to do so. There are many improvements in the product that you will like and we also have incentives to try it out.
The activity has been quite strong in the last 24h. We appreciate this massive initial participation with more than 9k transactions atm; 7k have been private transactions and the rest, public transactions between different assets.
Due to the large influx of participants, we have had some network congestion which has slowed down the experience for some users. Overall the experience has been quite satisfactory and we have gathered very valuable information that will allow us to further improve our product for you!
We have received about 900 feedbacks so far, to which we are paying close attention to implement improvements asap. Anyway, most of the transactions have reported a good overall user experience, about 85% have been quite satisfied so far.
For many, using the faucet was quite easy as well. 95% have done so without any inconvenience. For those who have had difficulties, we recommend reading the instructions on how to receive the test tokens in order to test transactions in the Dolphin app.
There are some bugs that have been reported and we are working on resolving them as soon as possible. We will soon publish a form for you to submit your comments on possible bugs in the testnet. This is what this Testnet it's all about, so please don't hesitate to let us know about any details you may be experiencing during your experience as a Dolphin v2 tester.
Regarding the speed of transaction processing, several users have reported an average duration of 40 seconds before completing the transfer process. We can deduce that this is because, during that time both the zero-knowledge proof generation and the transaction signature on the blockchain are being processed at the same time. The ZKP generation is much faster now but, due to the huge congestion in the network because of the massive simultaneous participation, the signature on the blockchain is taking a little longer than expected. This will be solved with a more homogeneous and natural behavior, apart from the adjustments that may be necessary from our side to optimize the UX.
2. ZPrize competition.π°
We have invited some ZKP connoisseurs and prominent users to solve some ZKP puzzles and give us a reference on the use of this technology in exchange for the prize of 1 ETH. We received an important participation and we will be announcing the winners soon.
3. USA events.π₯
We will be present at several important events in the coming weeks.
- Consensus in Texas
- Polkadot Decoded we have some good talks to give in NY, Berlin & Sanghai
- We will also be at EthCC Paris between July 19 and 20.
4. Collator Program.βοΈ
Last week we had Rob, our main program collaborator , and he was talking about the progress, bringing new collators from the community for a total of 17 community collators on board. Everything is running smoothly and correctly in terms of security and robustness of our network.
